I'm looking for information about Andrew Carnegie. Where can I find info?
Answer
The University Archives is home to the Andrew Carnegie Collection, which contains some of Carnegie's personal papers, many of which pertain to the founding of Carnegie Technical Schools. It also includes materials collected about Carnegie.
The University Archives is also home to the James Bertram Collection, Andrew Carnegie's confidential secretary from 1897-1914.
Finding aids (inventories) for these collections can be accessed here: https://findingaids.library.cmu.edu/
Both collections are digitized, along with the Andrew Carnegie Correspondence Collection and the Margaret Barclay Wilson Collection, which are held by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The Andrew Carnegie Digital Collections can be accessed here:

The Library of Congress also has the Andrew Carnegie papers, a much more comprehensive collection of Carnegie’s life.
